I started composing when I was about 37. “New Age” is my favourite style, Hennie Bekker, my favourite New Age composer. Click on his name to visit his website, where you can hear some samples of his beautiful music.
Melancholy
This is the first tune that I wrote, in 1996. The basic melody came to me when I was about 15. 22 years later I developed it and only orchestrated it in 2012 (added background/accompaniment via synthesizer software). In 2012 I re-recorded it and am so pleased and honoured to have it now as part of a New Age music compilation CD produced by the “New Age Music Circle” released in the U.S.
